  • Thanksgiving, How do You Celebrate It

    November 24th, 2009 by iayers3

I don’t no about you , but my Thanksgiving is usually the same, simple and boring. My dad’s parents come over, my mom’s are in Florida for the winter. We eat early and then watch football. I am not complaining about thee food. I love my mom’s cooking. She always outdoes herself at Thanksgiving. The Lions always lose, but t is still fun and funny to watch them. After that we just sit around. I know it is really boring. What are yours, leave them in a comment if you want to.

    My Computer Class

    November 23rd, 2009 by iayers3

I really liked my encore class with Mr. Moore, the best computer teacher I have had. We did a lot that I didn’t know about, but no use as if I have been my whole life. I have links to many, including Animoto, Doppelme, Sumopaint, Wordle. We also used Weebly and Wiki which I never have before, but now enjoy. I am not looking forward to leaving this class and rotating. This class and the computers have been so much fun. I also have links to all my other awesome teachers blogs. I have learned a lot and  really liked this class so I  am sad that I have to leave.

Grand Ledges have brought a Movie Here

    November 19th, 2009 by iayers3

The film Red Dawn is being filmed about a mile from my house. The town of Grand Ledge got that name for a reason. They are so Grand that Hollywood decided we are the best pot to film a movie. To find out more, click here. It has been described as a re-boot of a 1984 film with Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen. THe actors include Chris Hemsworth of “Star Trek” and Adrianne Palicki of “Friday Night Lights.”. How cool is that. It is about  a group of teenagers that try to defend their town from  Russian soldiers. Sounds like a good movie.

    Michigan Budget Cuts

    November 18th, 2009 by iayers3

There is a rally happening today at the capitol in Michigan. The budget cuts are outrageous. My school district is being forced to rewire the all the schools. The rally is to protest the budget cuts. It is insane that they  think that the kids in Michigan are being educated enough to cut our education. We are already so far behind in education and all this is going to do is set our state back farther. The rally is at the capitol in Lansing from 4-6 tonight. If you have time, please go down and support us. To find more check out this link

Uniforms: Like ‘em or Leave ‘em

    November 17th, 2009 by iayers3

Some schools require kids to where uniforms to create a more positive learning environment. They think kids will where inappropriate clothing, but when I look around me school, there’s no one with any of that. I know kids that go to schools where they have to where uniforms and whenever we talk about school, all they do is complain about there uniforms. It doesn’t help, it hurts, at least in my opinion. You have your own though so please comment with your opinion.

    Imagine your Image

    November 17th, 2009 by iayers3

Hey, I’m back. I found this image on pics4learning.com and I am going to post on it. It is a basketball, obviously, because I love basketball. I play it as much as I can. I watch it as much as I can. My aunt has season tickets to Michigan State basketball and I go with her a lot. Basketball isn’t the only sport I play. I play football(kind of ), baseball(badly), and soccer. If you could leave a comment and pic that would be great.

    Last week of the Trimester

    November 16th, 2009 by iayers3

My middle school life is not what I expected. I didn’t think that waking up early would be a problem. It is. I thought academically that it would be a lot harder. It isn’t. I could go on and on, but I won’t. 7th grade has been different than 6th by a lot. The school year is flying by. I can’t believe we are a third of the year done. Everyone is a year older and different. It’s the same as last year, but different if that makes any sense. Again, my middle school life is not what I expected.

President for a day. What would you do?

    November 16th, 2009 by iayers3

Being president for a day would be a lot of things. Stressful, exciting, exhilarating. I would try to get a health care reform bill passed with some changes. I would try to get more troops into Afghanistan and Iraq. I would try to find a way to win those wars. I would try to jump start the economy. I know I’m making this sound really simple when in reality it isn’t, because i it was President Obama would have already done that. If you have already posted on your EduBlog about this, please copy and paste it into a comment.

    Iranians fight for Facebook

    November 13th, 2009 by iayers3

My teacher just had us read an article about how Iranians are fighting for the right to get on Twitter and Facebook. Here is the link. It is not fair at all. If this was the USA all the government would be in jail. It would take away freedom of speech. It is incredibly sad that the government would have to do that. If you have any guesses on why please comment. If you read this please comment on the blog and article.
